  • Prof. Dr. Saffa Riffat, DPhil (Oxford), DSc (Oxford), Emeritus Professor at the University of Nottingham, has secured over £120 million in research grants, authored more than 650 refereed papers, holds 30 international patents, was elected Fellow of the European Academy of Sciences, and won the Euro Solar Prize, Energy Globe Award, UK Engineering and Innovation Awards, Rushlight Awards and the CIBSE Baker Silver Medal; he serves as President of WSSET, Chairman of the SET Conference and Editor-in-Chief of several high-impact academic journals.

  • A prominent engineer in the field of sustainable energy, Professor AbuBakr S. Bahaj (FREng, FICE, FIET, FRSA, MInstP, CPhys) has worked for more than 30 years on technologies and systems that address energy and climate challenges. At the University of Southampton, he heads the Energy & Climate Change Division and leads the Sustainable Energy Research Group (ECCD). His research spans renewable energy, power generation, building engineering, and infrastructure, contributing to the development of energy engineering as a key discipline within the University.

Professor James Riffat, World Society of Sustainable Energy Technologies, United Kingdom

  • Professor James Riffat is an engineer specialising in building technologies, sustainable energy systems, and climate-focused solutions. He is CEO of the World Society of Sustainable Energy Technologies (WSSET), promoting international collaboration and knowledge exchange in sustainable engineering. His work advances innovative approaches in energy efficiency, renewable integration, and sustainable infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on bridging academia and industry. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Devrim Aydin, Eastern Mediterranean University, Cyprus

  • Associate Professor Dr Devrim Aydin is a mechanical engineer at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Eastern Mediterranean University.
